Do you have enough energy?

So lately we’ve been blogging on the topic of healthy eating and discussing the necessary steps to a healthy lifestyle because that’s what The New You Lifestyle is all about…

Now let me ask you this…Do you find yourself drained, tired, dragging, and lethargic or just out of energy? Are you getting a full night’s sleep and still feeling tired throughout the day?

Most people associate being tired with needing more sleep when in fact it could very well be your body’s way of telling you that you need a different kind of FUEL/FOOD to keep going. When we eat sugary junk foods we do get a boost of energy and feel good in the moment because of the sugar high it gives us but the crash after the high more often than not is a very low and tiring feeling. Most people don’t think of the behind the scenes process that the body goes through after eating that large amount of sugar in that powdered donut or instant oatmeal or baked potato that turned into sugar after you ate it. It seems harmless enough and everyone does it, so how can it be bad? Educating yourself on what is best for your body is the quickest and easiest way to get on the right track when it comes to healthy eating and healthy living. Sometimes we have to learn to say no to the bad foods and bring in more good foods to keep your energy levels up so you can feel good all day long. What you eat and when you eat makes a BIG difference on the energy you have and making sure you have even energy throughout the day.
